We granted leave to appeal in this first-party action to recover no-fault benefits to determine whether the trial court properly granted plaintiffs motion for summary Disposition on the basis that the reasonableness and necessity of medical expenses incurred by plaintiff did not affect defendants liability for those expenses under Â§ 3107 of the no-fault act, MCL 500.3101 et seq.; MSA 24.13101 et seq. We also consider whether the trial court properly concluded that the collateral source rule applied in this case to preclude any evidence of other insurance benefits that plaintiff may have received or been entitled to receive. The Court of Appeals affirmed the decision of the trial court with regard to both issues. We now reverse the decision of the Court of Appeals.
